About Us

In the Beginning

Sapphire is a company founded  by Glen Baker in October 2004, and started operating as Sapphire Cleaning Solutions Limited. Glen Baker's background has always been in the building and cleaning industry, progressing on to become General Manager with a plc company for 10 years before establishing his own business.

Sapphire began working for the Corporation of London, undertaking call outs to Bishopsgate, Snow Hill and Wood Street Police Stations for emergency specialist cell cleans, such as HIV sufferers, scabies, hepatitis and bodily fluid deposits left by the public. Sapphire also supplies sanitary requirements and sharps removals to several sites within the Corporation of London Departments.

Sapphire undertook several cleaning  contracts plus security services  for offices, shops and blue chip companies such as Pickfords plc, Starbucks, University of Liverpool, and various other companies that can be seen on the client's page All of these companies continue their contracts with Sapphire at the present time.

In 2006 Sapphire approached the Barracuda Group regarding Planned Maintenance nationally, for which we commenced work in November of that year.

From then on Sapphire changed their Company name to Sapphire Property Solutions (GB) Limited incorporating our more diverse services.

Today

The Company has grown over the past four years to become a £1 million plus turnover business and are investing in their own offices, property and new development. At the moment Sapphire run a fleet of new Transit vans, fully equipped to handle any job regardless of size or cost. They also have two tipper trucks to remove waste, allowing access into areas and to rubbish that skips may not be able to access.  Sapphire is licensed   with the Environmental Agency to carry contaminated waste.

Sapphire are now a National company undertaking all types of maintenance and building works, as well as cleaning for all of the above Companies, plus several new Companies which have come on board, such as SIG Trading Ltd, YMCA,  BEW Electrical, South Eastern Electrical, Henry's Bars, TCG and Brundles Wholesales Distributors amongst others.

Sapphire undertakes all types of building, decoration, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, altro flooring, tiling and ceiling fixing. In fact any building requirements our clients request us to undertake (click here to see our existing services list.). We also handle various new builds and renovation including planning.

Sapphire has a department for graffiti and gum removal. We also attend crime scenes and fatality specialise cleans and removals. We have incineration facilities for disposal of contaminated waste. We also specialise in pest control, including bird proofing and eradication plus infestation removal.    

All Sapphire employees are P.A.Y.E, fully insured and are regularly updated on New Health and Safety regulations and tool box talks. Sapphire employs staff who are fully trained and qualified in the field of pest control with up to date and valid certification.

Sapphire has a full team in their office to undertake any day to day requirements that our clients may have. Sapphire intend to expand and progress in the near future, while maintaining the same first class service our clients are used to receiving.
